Frizz is a recurring offensive spell in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest III, it is a single target spell (in contrast to group-searing Sizz) and is often learned by Mages.
Description
Depicted as a single fireball, frizz is a basic attack spell that targets the enemy which will burn into flames, typically often uses by Mages for early standards. With the powered-up versions of Frizz, the fireball grows larger and the damage is more devastating.

Trivia
- In the English translation of the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai manga, one scene mistakenly leaves Frizz's Japanese name untranslated: on seeing Dai imbue a Frizz spell into his sword, Hyunckel identifies it as "the flames of Mera".
