Accelerate is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.
Description
Increases one party member's agility by 25%, and can be applied twice.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined
Only appearing in the game's Reimagined remake, it is already learned by characters in the Troubadour vocation. It costs 2 MP to cast for the first time since XI, and is also used by Grody Gumpdrops after he gets Worked Up.
Dragon Quest IX
Making its main series debut, it is learned by Thieves at level 16. It costs 2 MP to cast for the first since Caravan Heart, and is also used by Mecha-mynahs in battle.
Dragon Quest X
Accelerate is learned by Thieves at level 6 and is learned by all Slimes in the Slurpodrome, but shortens the action interval of players for 120 seconds for the former and increases the speed of all Slimes for a short time. It costs 2 MP to cast once again (3 MP for the first time since Terry's Wonderland 3D in the Slurpodrome), and is also used by Raven lunatics, 24-carrot bunicorns, Magical Demon Chamur, the Red Beast Buzzred, and Palmio II, as well as Mecha-Mynahs once again. In the Offline version of the game, it is learned by the Hero in the Thief vocation at the same level, Anlucia at level 35, and already learned by Distan when he joins the party, as well as used by Kaito Poikkurin when she temporarily fights alongside the party.
Dragon Quest XI
Acting the same as in previous appearances, it is learned by Serena at level 13 and already learned by Sylvando when he joins the party. It costs 2 MP to cast once again, and is also used by Stark ravens, as well as Mecha-Mynahs, Raven Lunatics, and 24-Carrot Bunicorns once again.
Dragon Warrior Monsters
Making its debut, it is learned by Pixys, CurseLamps, and Florajays at level 2, while having 10 MP and 8 Wisdom. It costs 2 MP to cast, and evolves into Acceleratle when the monsters have reached level 5 and have 24 MP and 20 Wisdom.
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2
Speed can be used by Florajays, Pyuros, CurseLamps, and Petiteels when they have at least 15 intelligence. They cost 2 MP to use and raise the agility of one monster.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart
Speed can be learned by aqua slimes, crystal slimes, baby panthers, mad cats, chestnut men and wind men.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
Accelerate is learned by various monsters at certain levels.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker 2 Professional
Accelerate can no longer be learned from Mage Aid. It can now also be learned from Mortella for 26 points.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
Accelerate costs 3 MP and will raise one monster's agility by 80% for 4~7 turns. It cannot be stacked with multiple castings, and is learned via the Blusterer, Cutpurse, Fortifier, Slimer, Speedster, Willing Helper, and Zap Afficionado talents.
