Tingle is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.

Description

Removes paralysis from party members. In Dragon Quest VI through Dragon Quest VIII, as well as the Monsters series, it also removes the sleep status.

Appearances

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake

Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is learned by Peronel at level 15, and costs 6 MP to cast for the first time since Champions.

Dragon Quest III

Making its debut, it is learnt by Priests and Sages at Level 15, costing 2 MP to cast.

Dragon Quest IV

Acting the same as in III, it is learnt by Meena at level 10 and costs 2 MP to cast once again.

Dragon Quest VI

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by Nevan at Level 17, along with any character in Rank 4 of the Priest vocation. It costs 2 MP to cast once again and can also cure sleep.

Dragon Quest VII

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by any character after reaching rank 6 of the Sailor vocation, or Rank 3 in the 3DS remake. It costs 2 MP to cast once again, and can cure sleep, just like in VI. In the game's Reimagined remake, it is learned by advancing to Proficiency Rank 2 of the Sailor vocation.

Dragon Quest VIII

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by Angelo at Level 13, and the Hero when he invests 16 skill points into his Courage skill tree, costing 2 MP to cast once again, while also curing sleep, just like in its last two main series appearances.

Dragon Quest IX

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by Priests at level 22 and Rangers at level 16, costing 2 MP to cast once again. With the reintroduction of Cock-a-doodle-doo, Tingle has regressed to curing only paralysis for the first time in the main series since V.

Dragon Quest X

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by Priests at level 25 and Hermits at level 107, costing 2 MP to cast once again, though it can only cure one ally's paralysis. In the Offline version of the game, it is learnt by the Hero in the same vocation at the same level, and already learnt by Prince Laguas when he joins the party.

Dragon Quest XI

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is learnt by Serena at level 20 and Sylvando at level 22, costing 2 MP to cast once again. It is also used by the former to cure the Luminary and his allies after their fight with the Auroral Serpent.

Dragon Warrior Monsters

Called NumbOff in this game, it requires the monster to reach level 8 with 30 MP and 26 Intelligence. It is naturally learnt by the CoilBird, DeadNite, MadPlant and Snaily, among others.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2

NumbOff now requires 47 Intelligence to learn.

Acting the same as in its last 2 main series appearances, it is already learnt by Baleen mages when they are recruited and costs 12 MP to cast. An Ability Scroll of this spell can be obtained for 1,000 Legend League Medals at the Swap Shop.

Tingle costs 2 MP and cures the party of paralysis. It is learnt through the Blowy Slasher, Fluffy, Mystic, Paramedic, and Willing Helper talents.
