Magmalice is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
Magmalice is a fire monster that is composed of clumps of smoldering stones that rise out of the ground to scorch adventurers. It is the fire equivalent of the Firn fiend.

Builders series
Dragon Quest Builders
The Magmalice is a boss in Dragon Quest Builders. He is resistant to all attacks, even with the Aurora blade, and is only weak against the Bashmobile.
The Magmalice has 2 eyes, a head made of lava and bits of very hot rock, and a gigantic flaming hand. The hand is not part of the monster itself, though, but is a non-conscious entity controlled by the monster. Hitting the hand with the Bashmobile does not harm the monster. Hitting it's face deals 500-525 damage to the monster, defeating it. It can control fire in very special ways and transform it to elemental monsters, such as dancing flames.
The hand is used to hurl explosive fireballs at its enemies, or to bash them and knock them back giving it time to prepare another attack.
