- For the Dragon Quest V armour piece, see Restless armour (armour).
Restless armour is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
Restless armours are simple suits of armour armed with a sword and shield. There is nothing inside the armour, though the darkness inside their helmets makes this a questionable matter at times. Their armour is unlike any piece seen within the series, which makes it difficult to hypothesise about their origin or significance in the overall scheme of things. They speak like a noble knight, but have a "Clank!" in the middle of their sentences.

Restless armours first appear and can only be found in the game's final area, the Flying Clawtress. They can use their shields to block frontal attacks, though being struck once from behind will cause them to drop it and lose their defensive prowess. A Restless armour defeated outside of a tank battle will always drop a Steel broadsword if a lucky bag isn't produced.
