Large scale is used as a material for crafting armour and furniture or in Alchemy to increase max HP on pieces of headwear. It can be dropped by various monsters, including Mandrak mercenaries, Small fries, Dragstars, Mandrake marshals, Grrrgoyles, Aggrosculptures, Dragsters, Sintaurs, Drakulards, Bilhaws, Tormentaurs, Liege lizards, Night clubbers, Gnuriels, Pruslases, Black Dragons, and Great dragons.

Dragon Quest XI

Large scale can be purchased for 380 gold each from the item shop in Nautica from the second act onward or dropped by Mermaniacs and their malicious counterparts, as well as Night clubbers. It can be sold for 95 gold or made into Metal slime armour and the Ruby of protection using the Fun-Size Forge.

Dragon Quest Heroes II

Large scale is used as a material for improving various accessories or sold for 64 gold. It can be dropped by Mandrake marshals, Night clubbers, and Pruslases.
