Zere is a village in Dragon Quest IX. The layout of this village is similar to the shape of a heart. Zere trees, that look similar to sakura trees, are grown around the village, and there is a giant zere tree in the center of the village.
Story
When the Hero and their companions arrive, it is a quiet town. You head over to the northwest of the town where you head into the house of Petra. She sings you a song of where Brigadoom is. When you get out, the Wight Knight is running around asking people where Brigadoom is. He stumbles upon you and you tell him the song. Then he sets of again.
Later in the game it is revealed there is an almost identical copy of it called Zere Rocks. The only difference is that everything is "younger" and only two areas can be entered. These are the basement (which collapsed in Zere but is accessible at Zere Rocks) and Petra's house.
Connecting Areas
- The Doomingale Forest is due northwest of the region
