One-on-One (Martyr's Barter in II HD-2D) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances
Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake
Making its main series debut as a Souped-Up Skill, it is activated by combining Gawain's Double Up with the Soul Sigil and costs 0 MP to use.
Dragon Warrior Monsters
Making its debut, it is learned by Army ants, Hammerhoods, Tortoceratopses, and RotRavens at level 19, bringing both user and enemy down to 1 HP each, though if the skill misses its target, it will not damage the user. It costs 1 MP to use.
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2
Acting the same as in the first Monsters game, it is learned by the same monsters in addition to Barracudas and costs 1 MP to use once again.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
One-on-One can be learned from:
- Berserker (36 points)
- Boom Boxer (62 points)
- Martyr (45 points)
- Toughie (75 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2/Joker 2 Professional
The skill has been slightly tweaked, with the success probability increasing if the target's HP is high. One-on-One will have 100% accuracy if the target has a max HP of 2,250 or more regardless of any kamikaze resistance. This aspect is balanced out against large and gigantic monsters, who innately cut the accuracy down to 50% and 25% respectively. One-on-One can be learned from all the skills it could be previously, though the point requirements for Berserker and Martyr have changed. It can now be learned from:
- Berserker (28 points)
- Martyr (44 points)
- Stormgate Citadel (42 points)
