Fan Dango is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances
Dragon Quest VIII 3DS
Only appearing in the 3DS remake, it is learned by Red when she invests 30 skill points into her Fan skill tree. It attacks 3-4 times on random targets at 50% damage per strike, and costs 0 MP to use.
Dragon Quest IX
Making its debut, it is learned when 88 skill points are invested into the Fan Skill tree and costs 8 MP to use.
Dragon Quest X
Learned when 76 skill points are invested into the Fan skill tree, it attacks surrounding enemies, though it goes back to attacking enemies 3-4 times just like in IX from 1.4 onwards. It costs 4 MP to use from 1.1 onwards, (6 MP prior) and can also be learned by investing 40 skill points into a recruited Goodybag and a recruited Prancing pillar's Fan skill trees, while its power is increased by 36% after investing 50 skill points into the same skill tree. In the Offline version of the game, it is learned by investing 7 skill points into the Hero and Fura's Fan Character Builders, and is also used by Miko Himea and Kyuusuke.
Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II
Already learned by Maya when she joins the party, she launches her fans and twirls around like a ballerina, hitting any enemies around her, similar to X prior to its 1.4 update. It costs 8 MP to use once again.
Dragon Quest of the Stars
Acting the same as in previous appearances, it is the skill for the Iridescent fan and Viking fan, but can also be equipped to any fan weapon.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
Fan Dango costs 8 MP and launches 3~4 attacks at random foes. The damage is calculated as (User's agility + (target's defence x 0.25)) x 0.1, with the upper limit per strike being 285. Fan Dango is learned though the Charmer, Just Ruler, Party Monster, Pop Idol, and Rug Cutter talents.
