Buddy is a character in Dragon Quest VI who lives on Weaver's Peak. In the dream world, Buddy is a likeable guy and on good terms with the Hero. He calls the Hero 'Buddy' so he's referred as that.

In the real world, Buddy is a jerk who wanted to marry Tania and saw the Hero as an obstacle to that end.
