Biography
Variant beasts are what Helgegogues were called at the start of Dragon Quest X Version 4, they drain people's mental energy and bring the Kingdom of Tenton to its knees, as well as power up King Dominus for the coming of Kyronos. One is first fought as a boss, while many more are later seen throughout the Version 4 story, usally accompanying Padre until he's free from Kyronos's control.
