Slime stack is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Characteristics
The slime stack is a byproduct of a failed King Slime transformation. When a group of ambitious slimes attempts to fuse into a King Slime but just don't have enough Slimes the result is a Slime Stack. The stack is composed of three Slimes of different colors. Green on top, Red in the middle and Blue on bottom. The three Slimes each have their own mind and personalities. They really can't agree on anything and their consistent bickering and limited mobility greatly limit the stacks usefulness. Even though the transformation is not as powerful as a King Slime they are also much less stable, and if a stack gets knocked over in battle it will burst, damaging their enemy and releasing the original Slimes that initiated the transformation.
