Press (Savage Squash in DQotS) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.
Appearances
Dragon Quest IV Remakes
Only appearing in the remakes, it is used by Platinum King Jewels in battle.
Dragon Quest VI
Making its debut, it is used by the Stormsgate Citadel to damage all enemies during its boss fight.
Dragon Quest VII
Acting the same as in VI, it is used by Mad moais, Mega moais, Gem slimes, Emperor slimes, Octophants, Djinn genies, Platinum king jewels, the Glowering Inferno, Vaipur, and Orgodemir's final forme during the true final battle. It is also used by Darkonium Slimes in the 3DS remake.
Dragon Quest IX
Now causing non elemental damage to all enemies, it is used by Darkonium slimes, as well as Mad Moais and Mega Moais once again. Damage from this skill can only be reduced by defending or by achieving Super High Tension.
Dragon Quest X
Acting mostly the same as in previous appearances, it is used by Blue moons, Dark planets, Mars faces, Mortcuries, Golden discos, Magic Odo Balls, The Hole, Big rockbomb, and Heart Boiled, as well as Emperor Slimes, Platinum King Jewels, and Darkonium Slimes once again, but can also potentially knock back an enemy and their surrounding allies for a turn. In the Offline version of the game, it damages all enemies, but otherwise acts the same as in the Online original.
Dragon Quest of the Stars
Dragon Quest Heroes II
Used by Missing lynxes and the Strong Abominable showman, they jump up high and damage any enemies unfortunate to be in their way.
