Poison Attack (Poisonous Poke in the Monsters series) is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series.

Description

Launches a melee attack that may poison the target.

Appearances

Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake

Only appearing in the game's HD-2D Remake, it is used by Putrefidos, as well as Bubble Slimes, Toxic Toads, and Betterflies once again.

Dragon Quest II

Making its debut, it is used by Bubble slimes, Cobra kings, Sentripedes, Killipedes, Gnashturtiums, Cobra kaisers, and Walking corpses to poison the Scions of Erdrick in battle, as well as Betterflies, Toxic Zombies, Squidzillas, Cauldrones, and Cobra congers in the HD-2D Remake.

Dragon Quest III

Acting the same from II onwards, it is used by Toxic toads, Betterflies, and Toxic zombies, as well as Bubble Slimes once again.

Dragon Quest IV

Acting the same as in its last two appearances, it is used by Funghouls, Crested vipers, Horny devils, Bodkin fletchers, and Wyverns in battle, as well as Bubble Slimes once again.

Dragon Quest V

Marking the first time to be used by allies, it is learned by recruited Funghouls at level 7 and already learned by recruited Walking Corpses. It costs 0 MP to use, and is also used by Lesionnaires and Stenchurions, as well as Bubble Slimes once again.

Dragon Quest VI

Used by monsters for the first time since its debut, it is used by Venom wasps, Diethons, Eveels, and Corpsickles as well as Bubble Slimes once again.

Dragon Quest VII

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Frightcrawlers, Stingfishers, Pustules, and Decayurions, as well as Bubble Slimes, Walking Corpses, and Toxic Zombies once again. In the Reimagined remake, it is also used by Armoured scorpions, as well as Toxic Toads and Crested Vipers once again.

Dragon Quest VIII

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Scorpions, Death scorpions, and Wild boarfish, as well as Bubble Slimes, Walking Corpses, Bodkin Fletchers, Venom Wasps, Toxic Zombies, and Eveels once again.

Dragon Quest IX

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Bubble slimes, Betterflies, Bodkin Fletchers, Walking Corpses, Toxic Zombies, Lesionnaires, and Stenchurions once again.

Dragon Quest X

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Ruff ruffians and Giraffgoons, as well as Death Scorpions, Bubble Slimes, Walking Corpses, Betterflies, Toxic Zombies, and Bodkin Fletchers once again.

Dragon Quest XI

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is used by Boodiful Smogbonnets and Grim Keepers, as well as Bubble Slimes, Toxic Toads, Bodkin Fletchers, and Diethons once again.

Dragon Quest Tact

Acting the same as in previous appearances once again, it is already learned by King bubble slimes, Corpse corporals, Walking Corpses, Bubble Slimes, and Morphean mushrooms when they are recruited, costing 12 MP to use.
