Inferno Slash (AKA Hellfire Slash in DQotS and Tact) is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series.

Dragon Quest XI

Making its main series debut, it is used by Loss leaders, Indignus, Master commanders, Bathysfear, Abject Terror, and Darkest Despair in battle against their enemies.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker

Inferno Slash is a stronger version of Flame Slash. It costs 4 MP to use and strikes a single enemy with an attack using 130% of the user's normal attack, inflicting Frizz-element damage. It can be learned from:

Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Series

Appearing as the Dragon rider's red button technique from Battle Road II onwards, the rider uses its steed's fire breath as part of its sword attack, damaging the enemy.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2

Inferno Slash now deals a combination of Frizz and Fire Breath-element damage. It can be learned from all the skillsets it could be in the previous game, though the point requirements for Fire Fighter and Firewind Slashes have changed. It can now be learned from:

Inferno Slash now costs 20 MP to use.

Dragon Quest Heroes and Dragon Quest Heroes II

Already known by Luceus, he creates a fiery tornado that whirls enemies up and damages them. It costs 5 MP to use, and can be upgraded with the Inferno Slash Extender for 5 skill points. In the sequel, it is already learned by Teresa and acts the same as in the first game.

Dragon Quest Tact

Learned by Hellions at level 22, Mandrake marauders at level 36, and Mandrake Manglers at level 16, it acts the same as in previous games and costs 17 MP to use once again. A scroll of this ability can also be obtained by clearing Frizz-type Upgrade: Ultra and Stage 7 of Ragnar McRyan, Yangus, and Red Robbin' 'ood's Battle Roads, as well as buying it for 1,500 Medals at the DQIV and Beast Festival Medal Swap Shops.

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow

Set to reappear as the Fire blade's Coup de Grâce, it damages all enemies in range with a fiery shockwave.
