Dragon Quest IV
The hairband has a defence bonus of +5. It can be worn by Alena, Maya, and Meena. It only appears in remake versions of the game.
Dragon Quest V
The hairband has a defence bonus of +7. It can be worn by female characters. It can be bought for 150 G. The hairband is Bianca's default headgear when she joins in the first generation.
Dragon Quest VI
The hairband can be bought for 150 G in Clearvale and sold for 112 G. It has a defense bonus of +7 and a style bonus of +10. Milly and Ashlynn can equip it.
Dragon Quest VII
The hairband has a defense bonus of +4 and a style bonus of +10. It can only be equipped by Maribel and Aishe. One can be found in Maribel's room in Pilchard Bay. It can be bought for 100 G and sold for 50 G.
Dragon Quest VIII
The hairband has a defence bonus of +5. It can only be worn by Jessica and is equipped by her when she joins the party. It can be bought for 150 G in Peregrin Quay and sold for 75 G. In the 3DS version, Red can equip it, as well. It can be upgraded into the bunny ears in the Alchemy Pot by combining it with a bunny tail.
Dragon Quest IX
Unlike other games in the series, the hairband is a unisex piece of equipment and is worn around the forehead.
