The Dreadmaster is a boss monster in Dragon Quest IX.
Appearance
The Dreadmaster is a tall beast with reddish horns, red wings and white feet. He wears a white shirt, blue vest and tiny glasses.
Biography
Dragon Quest IX
He is what the ghost of Sir Sternivus Swinedimple becomes after eating a Fygg. After he is defeated, he returns to normal.

The Dreadmaster can use a physical attack, Crackle and Zammle, as well as Double Trouble, which is effectively the same as Falcon Slash. He can also Psyche Up, which can be dangerous when done twice or more in a row, so the party should defend to reduce damage from his next attack.
The Dreadmaster is a fairly easy boss, and simply attacking and healing when necessary is enough to take him down.
