Dragonoid is the true form of the Dragon Knights in Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.
Description
A Dragonoid is the form taken by a pure Dragon Knight by use a Dragon Fang (a left of the remain of a sword wielded by an ancient dragon knight) during battle in order to unlock his true potential.
When a dragon knight cut themself with the Dragon Fang, there red human blood turns into the blue blood of Darkling and then when raising the dragon fang up to the sky, a powerful lightning bolt will strike the Dragon Knight and transform him. In a pure species like Baran, he will sprout wings, and his Crest will enlarge, when casting Doruora, the hands used form a Dragon's mouth. This form is considered two times more powerful than a normal form. However, this is abiguous; there is no metric to measure this. However, what we can infer from Dai's fight with Vearn, is that a Dragon Knight's normal Crest form, limits his power due to the body, the true power beneath is many times stronger. This means this form unlocks that restriction.
Dai, a hybrid between human and Dragon Knight, cannot truly transform into this true form like his father, however, because Baran passed on his Crest to his son, the power "doubles", so Dai has the benefit of having two Crests, which in the show, says this quadruples his power, but once again, looking at the stuff he can do to Vearn after and what he can do before, this may or may not be true.
